We got our start selling eggs after Kewani gave me that legendary “three sentence” business plan.

And after that, it was off to the races to figure out how to stand out in the marketplace and grow a nonprofit business that gives value to both our community and the youth we aim to serve. Our journey began with a simple idea and a few chickens, but it quickly transformed into a mission-driven venture focused on sustainable agriculture and social impact. Our success comes from sharing what we are doing without caring that others may “steal” what we are doing.

By being open and transparent about our methods and practices, we hope to inspire others to embrace sustainable farming and support their communities. We believe that the more people who adopt these practices, the stronger our local food systems will become, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

In today’s edition, I’ll discuss how effective marketing strategies can help stabilize local food systems and support community food security by making nutritious, fresh eggs more accessible.
